Yale offers a full funding package for all incoming Ph.D. students for a minimum of five years, with some students in FAS programs eligible for a sixth year of funding. The package includes a full tuition and annual stipend. In 2018-2019, Yale’s minimum stipend is $31,000. Whenever external funding is avaialble, this amount is increased somewhat.
